Almost no one uses AI agents to book their Uber, company says

On Uber's Q3 earnings call, CFO Balaji Krishnamurthy said that during the week of Halloween the company handled around 320 million trips and orders across Uber and Uber Eats, but only four rides were booked through an AI agent and only 500 Uber Eats orders were placed by one. CEO Dara Khosrowshahi called the traction "very, very early and very limited," while noting that booking a ride in the app takes about 50 seconds and reordering food about 90 seconds. He remained bullish on agents overall, saying around eight major AI assistants exist today and that "every single AI system company is talking to us."
