Smart Approvals in Amazon Quick: Human oversight where it matters

Amazon Quick's Smart Approvals uses a separate classifier model to review eligible agent actions against the user's request and conversation context, automatically approving them or returning them to the user, without granting additional permissions or removing required human approvals. Policy from Custom Permissions, Quick Guardrails, connector action permissions and user settings determines eligibility, and automatic approvals are single-use, apply only to the exact action and parameters reviewed, and are logged in AWS CloudTrail. The post recommends confirming connector action permissions, setting up CloudTrail and CloudWatch Logs delivery, and piloting Smart Approvals with a limited team before wider rollout.
