Perplexity launches its own take on AI agents for work

Perplexity has launched always-on "Teammates" that can take on multiple roles within a workspace, pulling existing projects, skills, and memory from Perplexity tools, and building on Perplexity Computer to support collaboration and ongoing, large-scale work. Each Teammate can be assigned different jobs that run simultaneously, with progress tracked through individual threads in the Perplexity app and interaction available in Slack, but the feature requires the $200/month Max plan. CEO Aravind Srinivas said on X that the company envisions "every org having hundreds of teammates working for each person."
