Egyptian and Nigerian English join the Open ASR Leaderboard

The Open ASR Leaderboard added two private conversational splits from Liva AI covering Egyptian English (1.34 h) and Nigerian English (1.55 h), both punctuated, cased and containing disfluencies. The leaderboard now reports a richer accent breakdown based on Kachru's Three Circles, comparing US vs. non-US and Inner Circle vs. Outer and Expanding Circles. The post says the additions continue efforts to improve accent and language representation and trust through new private data and providers.
