Faaah (Filesystem as an AI Handler) – Agent Subscription as OpenAI API via Files

FAAAH is a dependency-free, 308-line Python proxy that turns an OpenAI-compatible endpoint into a plain-text file protocol: it writes incoming requests to prompt-<id>.txt files in a queue directory, and an existing AI coding agent (e.g. Claude Code, opencode) reads them and writes responses to response-<id>.txt files, which FAAAH packages back into OpenAI-compatible JSON. It supports the OpenAI tools parameter with multi-turn tool loops, optional local embeddings via a uv extra, and a human-in-the-loop fallback where you can type the answer yourself; streaming is not supported.
