Underdog shows off a 32MB speech model in new demo

Underdog released a browser game called Woof built with its new 32MB speech generation model, which has 31 million parameters, is open for download, and the company says can run on most devices without an internet connection. The demo follows Underdog's earlier 167MB Bark speech-to-text model, and founder Sigil Wen told TechCrunch he wants to train open, American-made models that let people run capable AI locally and keep their data private. Underdog has also released a 27-billion-parameter model that can run on laptops and a waitlisted locally-hosted app.
