Cloudflare launches personal agent traffic analytics and access control
Understand this story
Cloudflare released new analytics capabilities to help sites understand how personal agents access websites on behalf of users, and expanded its existing Agents policies to provide more granular access control for supported personal agents. Sites can first set an overall Agents policy in Security Settings, then individually choose for each supported personal agent: allow (do not block), block on pages containing ads, or block. Cloudflare says that for sites using Account Abuse Protection (currently in early access), site owners and anti-fraud teams can see which user each agent is representing. Existing search and training policies remain unchanged.

- Cloudflare BlogFeaturedSee the agents, set the terms: new visibility and control for personal agents
Cloudflare launched new analytics that identify personal agent traffic in Security Analytics, including a Personal Assistants category, a Top statistics widget, and per-user agent visibility for sites using Account Abuse Protection. It also expanded the Agents policy into granular per-agent controls (Allow, Block on pages with ads, or Block) under a renamed "AI Crawler and Agent access policies" setting, with tailored recommendations during zone onboarding. Cloudflare says its next goal is helping sites preserve user context, assess reputation, and establish accountability when agents act as intermediaries.
